-Nightline
Apply for an Internship With Nightline
Experience Life in a National Newsroom
DESCRIPTION:
Nightline, hosted by Terry Moran in Washington, D.C. and Cynthia McFadden and Martin Bashir in Times Square, New York, is broadcast weeknights on ABC.

DURATION:
Full and part-time positions are available year round, for 8-12 weeks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nightline interns perform a variety of duties that are invaluable to the broadcast's success. They play an integral role in the office itself, managing the enormous flow of daily information (from phones to faxes, viewer mail to Web site content). In exchange, interns are exposed to all aspects of story development and production, are encouraged to take part in editorial conferences, and are able to experience what life in a national newsroom is like.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
We prefer students with initiative, curiosity and a solid work ethic. Our best interns grasp concepts quickly, work well with others, and are efficient, reliable, and can juggle several tasks at once. And, of course, applicants should have good communication skills and a serious interest in broadcast journalism.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Open to all majors. No prior journalism experience is required.

College juniors and seniors in good academic standing are preferred.

Interns must receive academic credit for participation in the program.
